Residency Program Overview

Gracelight Community Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program offers doctors seeking post-graduate training a comprehensive and immersive experience in medical education in Los Angeles. Notable program highlights include:

Hands On Health Center & Hospital Education

Primary training sites for residents are Gracelight Community Health’s five community health centers located in East Los Angeles, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, Westlake North and Hollywood. Residents will receive hands on experience treating and caring for patients in the Los Angeles community, with ample patient volume and opportunities for experience treating a diverse community of patients and medical cases in the primary healthcare space.

Gracelight also partners with CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (HPMC) to offer residents in-patient hospital rotation experience. Hollywood Presbyterian is an acute-care facility that has been providing for the Hollywood and Los Angeles community since 1924. HPMC is home to more than 500 physicians, giving residents access to virtually all specialties of medicine.

Program Curriculum

Our three-year residency program provides a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum that will help residents to be well-rounded and versed in a wide range of medical care and experience from inpatient rotations to outpatient exams. Additionally, our program provides opportunities for physicians to pursue fellowship training, certifications of added qualifications and careers parallel to medicine.
