1. I have not exercised in many years. Can I do Tai Chi?
Absolutely! Tai Chi is perfect for those who have never exercised, or for those who haven’t exercised in a long time. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your healthcare providers before beginning any exercise program.
2. Do I need special equipment to practice Tai Chi?
No, you do not need special equipment. Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended. You can practice in gym shoes, socks, or even barefoot, depending on your preference.
3. What’s the duration of each class?
Each class runs approximately 45 minutes, once a week, for a total of twelve weeks
4. What are the sessions like?
Each session includes a short warmup, followed by practicing the Yang Style Tai Chi form, and ends with a brief cooldown. You are encouraged to practice at home between sessions to achieve the greatest benefit from Tai Chi.
5. Can I try before I commit to the full program?

6. What style of Tai Chi do you teach?
We teach Yang Style 24 Tai Chi. This style is perfect for adults over 45 to maintain and/or build strength, stamina, balance, mindfulness, and mobility.
7. Is Tai Chi a religious practice?
No, Tai Chi is not a religious practice. It’s a Chinese martial art that contains philosophical elements. Tai Chi is generally practiced slowly and meditatively to enhance mental and physical well-being.
8. Can someone with physical limitations do Tai Chi?
Yes. Tai Chi movements can be modified to accommodate many physical limitations. However, it is recommended that you check with your healthcare providers before beginning any exercise program.
9. Does Tai Chi really work?
Yes. Tai Chi offers many health benefits, particularly during mid-life and beyond to maintain functional health. In addition to the physical benefits, practitioners report improvements in emotional and social well-being.
10. Do you offer online sessions?
We do not currently offer online Tai Chi sessions
